TransCEND (Transgender Care and Education Needs Diversity)

Welcome to our home on-line. Please take the time to explore our site and let us know what you think. We will be looking for your input to add the finishing touches.

TransCEND is a community-based HIV prevention and health education project located in Central Square at Cambridge Cares (CCA) by and for transgender women. As of July 1, 2010, Cambridge Cares is a new center of the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts (AAC).

We know first hand how hard it can be to reach out for support so we’ve created a place without judgement or pressure where transgender women can feel included and part of our family.

We provide 1 on 1 counseling and group support, HIV counseling and testing, referrals to transgender friendly legal and medical providers, safer sex and injection supplies, hygiene products, complimentary cosmetics and have a welcoming community safe space with a television and computers with Internet for your use. Our Drop-In Space is open on the following days:

Monday 10am-5pm
Tuesday 10am-5pm
Wednesday 10am-5pm
Thursdays 10am-5pm
Friday 10am-5pm

Not from Boston? Contact us anyway! We have a lot of resources and national contacts so let us know if you need support in your area.
